The Hauer 77 is a pump action shotgun that is powerful at close range. It is enjoyable to use, but can be frustrating if you are faced with enemies at medium to long range where you are less or even completely ineffective. First, we’ll discuss some tips for how to use the Hauer 77 and then we will discuss how to move around the map so you don’t encounter enemies you can’t fight.

Starting with the tips, always aim down the sight of the Hauer 77, firing from the hip is much less effective. It makes it easier to get one shot kills at any range, with which the Airborne Elastic Wrap will help you by reducing the aim down sight time as well as giving you resistance to flinching. The infantry V-Choke further helps you by reducing the ADS spread significantly letting you take on enemies at longer ranges. It is also important to keep moving, there is quite a delay between being able to fire which gives enemies time to get you. If you keep moving, your enemies will be disoriented and not able to hit you. To reduce the chance of dying due to reloading, take the Stanag 8 Round Tube which increases the ammo capacity. Also take scavenger to be able to pick up ammo from fallen enemies.

Onto how to move around the map, whilst the 24.1” Ranger Barrel will help you be more effective at range, it is best to ensure that you only encounter enemies at close range. It is often better to go an indirect route if it lets you avoid wide, open areas where you will have little chance of winning a fight. You need to be aggressive and fast, which means that you need to be able to move without being impeded by enemy tactical and lethal equipment, so take the Flak Jacket and Tactical Mask perks. This will require the perk greed wildcard. Also take Ghost and Ninja so that you don’t appear on enemy spy planes and you don’t give away your position through footsteps. Since you will always be close to enemies, take quartermaster and the stimshot tactical equipment to be able to heal between fights more often.

To round out the class setup, take your favourite field upgrade and a complimentary primary weapon if you do have to take on enemies at ranges the Hauer 77 cannot help you with. Pick your favourite lethal equipment to help you get enemies that are entrenched behind cover.
