The MP5 submachine gun is one of the early submachine guns you unlock and is well rounded with a good fire rate, modest recoil and good iron sights. It is best suited for medium range combat when you are expecting enemies. If you encounter enemies at longer ranges, especially if they are behind cover, it is better to find a way to flank them than try to take them on.

The relatively few rounds per magazine mean it is best suited to be fired whilst aiming down the sights and strafing to avoid enemy fire. Be sure to reload after every engagement to avoid running out early in your next fight.

To be able to get close to enemies without being detected, take the Ghost and Ninja Perks, which will require the Perk Greed Wildcard, and equip the MP5 with the Sound Suppressor attachment. To enhance your firepower, take the 9.5” Task Force barrel that increases damage and range, at the cost of lower starting ammo and increased recoil, which will be manageable since you will be close to your enemies.

To overcome the reduced ammo and ensure you can keep going for longer, take the Scavenger perk. The Quartermaster perk will recharge the Stimshot tactical equipment, which you can use to heal up faster to ready yourself for your next encounter. Be sure to step back behind cover, reload, which will be faster thanks to the Salve 40 Rnd Fast Mag attachment, and use the Stimshot to avoid being caught with your pants down.

To help you survive contested engagements, use the Field Tape attachment to reduce flinching and the Raider Stock which lets you move faster whilst aiming and also helps you be ready faster if you are caught sprinting. Together with the Flak Jacket and Tactical Mask Perk you will be able to get into the most dangerous parts of the map, and secure objectives.

Take your favourite secondary in case you are caught empty and be sure to pack your favourite lethal equipment and field upgrade.
