To track the assassin in The Husband in the Ghost of Tsushima keep follow the trail out of the gates and turn left. Keep following along the path until the trail turns right near the top of a hill.

Cut across the woods until you get to the path at the bottom of the valley and follow the trail along the path.

Keep following the path straight for a while until you reach a bunch of people.
