In Call of Duty Advanced Warfare you can upgrade your scorestreaks. After equipping the scorestreak you want to, for example a UAV, press Y on it to upgrade it. From there you can select up to 3 improvements, such as increased assist points, longer uptime or an inbuilt counter UAV. This will also increase the score requirement to be able to call in the scorestreak.
