Beating Patchwerk Heroic Mode Construct Quarter Curse of Naxxramas Hearthstone : Heroes of Warcraft

Best Deck to Beat Patchwerk in Heroic Mode in Naxxramas Construct Quarter

Check the comments below for an alternative deck.

Patchwerk in heroic mode gets a strong weapon with windfury that you can’t get rid of. His heroic hero ability is to destroy a minion so you either have to play a lot of minions with taunt or no minions at all. A modified version of Warlock Zoo that has a lot of cheap taunt and Alextraza is the recommended deck to beat Patchwerk in heroic mode. The deck list to beat Patchwerk in heroic mode is shown below.

Best Strategy to Beat Patchwerk in Heroic Mode in Naxxramas Construct Quarter

The strategy is to get Patchwerk to attack your minions so you can stay alive. Putting taunt on the minions with divine shield (like Argent Squire and Scarlet Crusader) is especially good since it will take two attacks of Patchwerk to kill them. The aim is to get to turn 9 Alextraza to set Patchwerk at 15 health and then to burst Patchwerk down using Doomguard, Souldifre and any leftover minions.

Note that it might take a few tries and a good starting hand to beat Patchwerk in heroic mode.

Where are the decks for people whom don’t have legendary cards like Alextraza?? >_> I dont have Alextraza and I can’t seem to find someone posting a deck without her for patchwerk.

  2. If you don’t like the above deck try this:
The turn 9 Alextraza turn 10 Pyroblast and turn 11 Fireball requires you to stay alive for 10 turns.
Your face plus Earthenring Farseer can do 4 turns. Mirror Image can do one turn if you play it before Patchwerk can use his hero ability. Frost Bolt and Ice Lance can do one turn each. That is 10 turns.
Ice Barrier and Ice Block can do one turn each putting the total to 14 turns. The rest of the cards in your deck should be cards that draw cards.
    The deck list is:
    Class: Mage.
    Delaying:
    2x Ice Lance
    2x Mirror Image
    2x Frost Bolt
    2x Earthenring Farseer
    2x Ice Block
    2x Ice Barrier
    Burn:
    2x Fireball
    Alextraza
    2x Pyroblast
    Card draw:
    2x Novice Engineer
    2x Gnomish Inventor
    2x Arcane Intellect
    2x Acolyte of Pain
2x Youthful Brewmaster (for Novice Engineer)
    2x Azure Drake
    Chillwind Yeti

I haven’t tried this deck yet, but note that Coldlight Oracle is strictly better than Arcane Intellect. Both three mana, but the Oracle mills Patchwerk for three damage *and* puts a minion on the board.

    • Elias says:

Replace acolytes (hard to activate) with cold light oracles. They give you two cards + hurt Grob with fatigue damage. Combined with brews you can potentially force 8 draws for 36 dmg. I also subbed yeti for bloodmage thalnos. I actually ended up with a substantial board after Grob started clearing my mirrors with hero power. Managed to win even without using my drawn Alex on the first try. (drew into ice lance and frostbolt without mulligan though… lucky)

      • Those are good changes, thanks for your comment.

And if you want a REAL budget set, I beat Patch with this deck on my second try.

Cold light + Shadow step + cold light dealt massive 5+6+7+8 damage on the last turn. Just need to mulligan for shield bearer for instant damage reduction and play smart. :)
