The Bulldog shotgun is the only semi-automatic shotgun in Call of Duty Ghosts. It has the lowest range and accuracy but the fastest fire rate. The key to success is maneuvering the map well with shotguns, which is even more crucial with the Bulldog due to its limited range.
Bulldog Best Strategy
Always fire the Bulldog from the hip. Aiming down the sights only slightly reduces the spread of the Bulldog, but your movement speed is drastically reduced. As soon as you see an enemy start strafing to make it hard to hit you. Keep firing the Bulldog until you are sure the enemy is dead. Only reload if you have to or there are no more enemies nearby. Don’t be afraid to engage enemies that know where you are as long as you are in close quarters.
Maneuvering the map well is key to success with the Bulldog. Don’t move through areas that have good vantage points. Instead move through buildings or rooms that are close quarter areas. Use the radar to estimate where enemies are and use a safe route to get to them. Completing objectives is difficult with the Bulldog since most of them expose you to medium range combat. Assist teammates by keeping enemies away from objectives.
Bulldog Best Soldier Setup
The key problem the Bulldog has is range and a small magazine. Use the Muzzle Brake to increase your range and Extended Mags to increase your ammunition supply and rounds per magazine.
The best perks for the Bulldog are those that increase your range and help you out when moving. Use Agility to increase your movement speed making strafing better and letting you flank much easier. Together with Marathon you can run across maps in very little time. Use Steady Aim to reduce the hip fire spread of the Bulldog giving you some extra range. Use Amplify to hear where enemies are. This does require you to use headphones. If you don’t have headphones instead use Ping which gives you the position of nearby enemies after you kill an enemy.
In summary the Bulldog is powerful up close. Use the Muzzle Brake, Extended Clip and selected perks to help you move faster and gain some extra range.
