The MSBS assault rifle is a 3 round burst fire weapon. It has the best accuracy and damage of all the assault rifles. The range of the MSBS is solid and it will stay steady when shooting enemies at a distance. However the damage drops off a lot when killing enemies at long range. Thus the MSBS is best suited for medium range combat.

MSBS Best Strategy
Since the MSBS is a burst fire rifle it is effective at long range. But your medium and short range power will be much greater if you use the Automatic Fire attachment. To beat enemies using shotguns and submachine guns use cover as much as possible.
It will be important that you focus on medium range engagements since the MSBS’s strength is head on engagements at medium range. At short and long range you are at a disadvantage compared to shotguns and sniper rifles. Only move through close quarter areas if you know it is clear or if there are teammates with you. This is where the MSBS is weakest, so select attachments and perks that help you out in close quarter combat.
MSBS Best Soldier Setup
On top of the Automatic Fire attachment use the silencer to ensure you aren’t easily spotted on the radar. The silencer will let you surprise enemies and pick them off one by one since other enemies won’t know exactly where you are.
You will need to change positions frequently where you are at a severe disadvantage to the more mobile classes. Ready Up will reduce that disadvantage and lets you change position more easily. So enemies don’t hear you move use Dead Silence. Off the Grid will ensure you aren’t spotted by SAT COMs keeping your firing position a secret.
I found that I was running out of ammunition frequently with the MSBS. In those situations you can pick up enemy weapons, but it is better to use Scavenger so you pick up ammunition from dead enemies.
In summary the MSBS’s strength is the medium range, especially with the Automatic Fire attachment. To alleviate the MSBS’s weak points use the Silencer and selected perks to make changing positions safer.
first of all, the MSBS is absolutely amazing and burst fire is better then automatic fire. The attachments i use is muzzle brake and red dot sight. My perks are stalker, quick draw, and dead eye. I use these perks because it will help me reach my specialists bonus. Which is good because I get a k.e.m. at least once a day.
I really suck in COD, but this AR is a beast. I get 15 kills or more per game. I always had 10 kills or less before. I use VMR sight and silencer as attachements. Others oreffer holographic sight and foregrip or muzzle flash.
Anyway, it is a good AR.
I didn’t like automatic fire since it reduces the accuracy. With a good aim, the MSBS is absolute beast on medium and even at close ranges since it takes just one burst to kill. At long ranges you have to hit two burst which is also no problem if the enemy doesn’t expect you. With burst fire ammo capacity is good, I take out up to five enemies with one mag. Really, automatic fire tames the beast so much that you can just pick another assault rifle.
I use red dot to help with the aim and armor-piercing to nail enemies behind cover. As perks I use stalker, focus, agility. Depending on you style you can add quickdraw or off the grid.
Automatic certainly reduces accuracy. I usually prefer close range combat where automatic is better than burst fire.
if you have good aim with burst and you shoot someone once they are dead and so you can do close range and long range
“The range of the MSBS is solid and it will stay steady when shooting enemies at a distance. However the damage drops off a lot when killing enemies at long range.” ….. :/
So that means that the recoil isn’t a problem at long range but you will have to put a lot of rounds into enemies to kill them.
