The FAD Assault Rifle has the highest firing rate of all the Assault Rifles. Combined with it’s good accuracy and range it is a deadly weapon that is best suited for medium and short ranged combat. Unfortunately the FAD has the lowest damage of all the assault rifles. It’s other stats make up for this though and turn it into a good all round weapon.

FAD Best Strategy
The uniquely large magazine size on the FAD allows you to stay in gun fights for longer without having to reload. This lets you hold down a position that is under sustained attack. Use cover and the radar to predict where enemies will come from.
Try to flank the enemy when the opportunity arises to take advantage of the strong close range performance of the FAD. Conserving ammunition isn’t vital since you get a lot of rounds per magazine. Take up positions that allow a clear view on choke points.
FAD Best Soldier Setup
The attachments that worked well with the FAD is a sight, since with the iron sights it will be hard to take out enemies at long range. The Silencer will keep you off the radar when you shoot which allows you to hold down a position for longer without having to worry about being flanked.
The best perks for the FAD will help you out during gunfights and whilst changing position. Sleight of Hand reduces the length of the long reload time of the FAD which will let you hold down a position more easily. You are at a severe disadvantage to submachine guns when you change position so use Ready Up to help you out.
Off the Grid keeps you from being detected by enemy SAT COMs so that your firing position isn’t revealed prematurely. So you don’t run out of ammunition use Scavenger to pick up ammunition from dead enemies.
In summary the FAD is a great Assault Rifle for holding down a position aggressively. The Silencer, sight and selected perks will alleviate some of the problems the FAD has and let you hold down a position for longer.
