Online Scam Information: SEO Help Offers

In general you have to be super careful with any kind of SEO help. SEO is a website’s ranking on Google, which partly determines how high your website will show on Google. SEO is actually less important than it seems to be given credit for, most of your place on Google is determined by the relevance of the content to the search query. There is very little you can do about SEO with money, so any company offering you help or a boost is probably illegitimate. Here is an example email of such an offer:

Hi,
My name is ---------- and I would really love to 
tell you how auluftwaffles.com can rank even 
better in Google. I'm a SEO expert working at 
------------ and while doing a research for 
some of my partners I found your email 
address and decided to contact you at once.
If you are interested I will be happy to 
send the additional information and all the 
details needed to 
make it happen.

As I said above there is very little these companies can do about the SEO of a website. Most of the information they can provide can easily be found using Google, but I suggest you use a platform that does everything for you, like WordPress.com, so you don’t even have to worry about it.

Usually these people will ask for money for some service. For a while your rank will probably be higher, but Google is very good at routing out fake SEO rankings so the boost won’t last.

SEO takes time to gain. The only way it is done through other websites with some rank linking to yours near the front page. I have also read that paid links won’t work for long since Google will detect the artificial jumps in your Website’s rank and do something about them.
